AI Certifications are the new fraud. I got one to prove it.

I got certified in pencil sharpening last week. Twelve modules. Forty hours. There was a capstone project. I sharpened a pencil. It was a #2 pencil because, yah. If you pay money to get an AI certification from some random business... "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, and if I buy an AI Certification, I shouldn't be allowed on the internet, shame me off of it." - Jake

If you run an AI certification program/class/course, you should go back to hyping up NFTs next to your pyramid scheme business we know you also run.

Paying anything to learn that prompts should be "clear and specific" is a scam BUT congratulations, you're selling a fortune cookie with a payment plan.

You're getting certified in nonsense created by nonsense for nonsense.

AI Certifications are like claiming you got a degree in hand coding. Yes, someone proclaimed this to me in 2012 when I took over an engineering project. The code seemed whack, so I met with the previous engineer to ask questions. Their defense? Reminding me of their degree in hand coding.

That energy is back, except now the certificate says "Generative AI Specialist" instead of "I can type with my fingers."

Whats also interesting, are all these AI talks given by those who have a background in.......... Machine learning? nope. Data Science? nope. Statistics? nope. Any engineering? Nope. Typists!!!!!!!!!! During Q&A make sure to ask what transformers are.
